why is it that in life majority of people find it much easier to talk to friends that are close to them, Rather than family members.

For example: as a 33 year old female i find it hard to speak to my sister who is a year older than me about relationships, my sister an me are close but i just don't feel comfortable enough to engage in that sort of conversation with her, but i can speak to my best mates about relationship openly an freely.

Hello and thank you for your question.

In my humble opinion life is all about creating the a life where you feel comfortable and free weather that be around family members or friends alike.

I believe that we choose our family before we are even born. For their similar traits and for a greater learning. They may not always be our idea of perfection but in the same breath their faults can motivate us to be better.

The beauty of life lies in the fact that we have free will in who we choose to get close to and share our hopes and dreams with. Family are there to help teach us how to build relationships and form bonds, what to look out for in others and a sense of unity.

Be grateful that you have wonderful friends who can inspire and uplift you when you are down. And give thanks that you have family.

~Parents will give you roots and then give you wings~
