Why can I solve other peoples problems but not my own?

I give very eloquent and thoughtful advise. Whatever somebody's problem I can give them a way to solve it, but my life is a mess and I can't even solve my simplest problems.

I suffer from and I would say one of my biggest problems is apathy which stops me from doing any day to day things in the home, looking after myself, feeding myself, etc. and then there is anxiety which stops me from living a normal life outside of the home.

Simple: its easier to give advice and help others than to follow advice and help yourself. my second life motto is "Love yourself". try to emulate this and i can assure you that the helping yourself issue will not be a problem again

QUESTION

I give very eloquent and thoughtful advise. Whatever somebody's problem I can give them a way to solve it, but my life is a mess and I can't even solve my simplest problems.

I suffer from and I would say one of my biggest problems is apathy which stops me from doing any day to day things in the home, looking after myself, feeding myself, etc. and then there is anxiety which stops me from living a normal life outside of the home.

It seem's as though you are placing other people on a pedal stool, believing somehow in your mind that they are more important than you are and as such, they deserve happiness and you dont.

As a result of these thoughts you spend time encouraging and uplifting others as a way to hide from yourself. Listen to your inner guides 'they are never wrong' and work out exactly what you DO want out of life. Start to create a plan and goals that you can work towards to reach your dream. This will fill your time with excitement. Use your anxiety 'fear' as a motivation to change. Feel the apathy and 'do it anyway'
Failure can not cope with persistence. Although it may seem overwhelming it can be done!

Make lists and stick to them, set yourself smaller tasks to begin with like cleaning the cupboards out, Every time you complete a task no matter how small, reward yourself! Even if its just a long soak in a candle lit bubble bath.

In order to begin changing you 'MUST' believe that you can. Not that you can not. See yourself how you want to be and start acting that way now. Emulate others who you admire, watch what they do and copy it.

There are many others going through what you are and who come out smelling of roses!
